Financial Aid Workshops

Bring a laptop and complete your free FAFSA or CADA application; parents and students are welcome to attend a workshop at any location

Workshops Conducted by:

  • UC Merced and Merced College Financial Aid Advisors
  • MUHSD College, Scholarship and Financial Aid Counselor and Technician
  • Cal Soap Representatives

FAFSA determines eligibility for Cal Grant, Pell Grant, University Grants, Work Study, and Subsidized Loan Programs.

To qualify for Cal Grant you must file the 2018-2019 FAFSA or Cal Dream Act by March 2nd.



Completing the FAFSA or CADA

What you will need to complete your FAFSA Application (www.fafsa.ed.gov)

  1. Create email for both parent and student (if you do not already have one)Parent & Student Create your FSA ID @ https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm
  2. Student’s & Parent Social Security card or number & Driver’s License
  3. Parent and student 2016 federal tax income return & 2016 income information (W-2 Forms)
  4. List of colleges you are interested in attending

What you will need to complete your CADA - Dream Act Application (https://dream.csac.ca.gov/)

  1. Parent and student 2016 tax income information
  2. 2016 income information (W-2 Forms)
  3. Parent and student’s Work Social Security Number or Individual Tax--payer Identification Number (ITIN), if they have one or alien Registration number
  4. List of colleges you are interested in attending
