Restorative practices is a term widely used in our educational system. What does it even mean? Restorative practice is the science of community, relationships, and belonging. We can use restorative practices to create relationships that foster belonging, voice, and agency for our students. Restorative practices are trauma-responsive and help students develop SEL skills. Join us to deepen your understanding and application of this framework.
About our Presenter:
Nicole Lalumiere is a 14 year educator and restorative practitioner. She started her career empowering student voice as an English teacher. She currently works as a PBIS teacher supporting students who face challenges with school behavior and the teachers who work with them. She holds a Masters Degree in Restorative Practices and is a Nurtured Heart Approach Certified Trainer.
