List of Merced Sun-Star's Fall Athletes of the Year Includes Many MUHSD Student-Athletes

The Merced Sun-Star released it's annual list of Merced County student-athletes who stood out during the fall sports season and MUHSD schools are well-represented.

Female Athletes of the Year: Kendall Thompson (El Capitan High)- Water Polo; Isabel Perez-Zoghbt (Merced High) - Cross County; Savun Emanivong (Buhach Colony High) - Tennis; Cairo Saxton (El Capitan High) - Golf

Male Athletes of the Year: Youlas Dickson (Buhach Colony High) - Football; Cole McKain (Merced High) - Cross Country; Rocco Cutone (El Capitan) - Water Polo;

MUHSD Shines in Latest Ca Dashboard Update

The California Dashboard update for 2019 is out and the scores for Merced Union High School District (MUHSD) show that the district continues to be a leader in preparing students for life after high school. Ag Students Help Less Fortunate

Atwater High and Golden Valley High Ag students both held canned food drives and ended up collecting thousands of items for families in need this holiday season.

The food was donated to Merced Food Bank and Atwater Rotary to be distributed to the local community.

AHS Drama Students Play Victims

Atwater High Drama students took part in a violent incident training exercise for the Merced County Office of Emergency Services. The students played the role of "victims" that law enforcement and first-responders tended to and rushed to safety.
