Buhach Colony boys use balanced attack to pick up first CCC water polo victory over Golden Valley.

Ten Buhach Colony players scored as the Thunder boys water polo team cruised to a 17-6 victory over Golden Valley on Monday night. Buhach Colony improves to 6-6 overall and 1-2 in the Central California Conference with the victory. Joseph Laranjo led the scoring barrage with three goals for the Thunder.
Tayven Tipler turned in a strong all-around performance in the pool with two goals, three assists and three steals for the Thunder. Richard Torres and Hayden Perez both scored two goals for Buhach Colony and goalies Isaiah Bettencourt and Alex Cesena combined for seven saves.

El Capitan 15, Los Banos 2 – Colby Schanze scored six goals and came away with four steals to help the Gauchos improve to 11-4 overall and 3-0 in the CCC. Joseph Rodriguez also scored four goals to go along with four assists and five steals for the Gauchos. El Capitan goalie Jack Nutcher recorded nine saves. El Capitan hosts Atwater on Wednesday.
Merced 19, Atwater 3 – The Bears extended their winning streak to 10 consecutive victories as Hunter Gossett scored eight goals. Eli Hamm added three goals and Kade Slocum and Nathan Larson both scored twice for Merced (15-2 overall, 3-0 CCC). Cord McCall finished with four assists for the Bears.
Goalie Cris Alvarez recorded eight saves for Atwater. Josh Borba, Ethan Sotelo and Maverick Shepherd all scored goals for the Falcons, who dropped to 8-8 overall and 2-1 in the CCC.
Livingston 18, Ceres 11 – Kelvyn Edwards scored eight goals and added three assists and four steals to propel the Wolves past the Bulldogs. Ayden Ramirez also scored five goals and picked up five assists and three steals. Livingston improved to 9-3 overall and 7-0 in the Western Athletic Conference.
Girls Water Polo
Merced 15 , Atwater 1 – The Bears improved to 3-0 in the CCC with their 11th consecutive win. Kate McIntosh scored two goals and recorded three assists for Merced (11-1 overall). Sarah Slocum added two goals and three steals and Olivia Westerberg chipped in with one goal, one assist and five steals. Ally Barnett recorded one goal, two assists and three steals for Merced, which has outscored its three CCC opponents 45 to 6.
El Capitan 16, Los Banos 3 – Grace Phillips paced the Gauchos with five goals, two assists and three steals and Brooklyn Ramsey added four goals, four assists and five steals. Eight different El Capitan players scored in the rout, including two goals from Kendal Brown.
Buhach Colony 12, Golden Valley 2 – Tamara Pena poured in six goals and Aralyn Finn added three goals, seven steals and two assists to lead the Thunder past the Cougars. Buhach Colony improved to 1-2 in the CCC. Thunder goalie Kodie Stevens stopped nine shots.
Katinia Ybarra and Jakobe Garcia scored the two goals for the Cougars. Courtney Imier recorded five saves in the cage for Golden Valley.
Ceres 9, Livingston 6 – Sarai Perez led the Wolves (3-9 overall, 3-5 WAC) with three goals against the Bulldogs. Claire Reynoso added one goal and two assists for Livingston.
